39-Year-Old Mother Of Four (4) Die Of Covid-19

The death of a 39-year-old mother of four has brought the total number of COVID-19 deaths in Guyana to 206, according to the Ministry of Health.

More than 8900 new cases have been reported in Guyana since the first case of the pandemic was reported a year ago. There are currently over 500 active cases in the country.

Monique Desouza, a resident of Ituni Region 10 Upper Demerara-Berbice, died on March 10th, she recently had surgery at a public hospital, and as a result, she developed COVID-19 symptoms.
