Dr. Ashni Singh Said Guyana’s Economy Grew A Whopping 43.5% Under Granger APNU, Largest Growth In Guyana’s History
In today’s presentation of the budget, Minister Dr. Ashni Singh made the stunning revelation that the Guyana economy grew by a whopping 43.5% which contradicts statements Bharrat Jagdeo’s made in a recent press conference stating that “the APNU/AFC policies caused a major deterioration in the overall welfare and environment of Guyana economically”.
The PPP/C Jagdeo-Ali led government officially took office a little more than six months ago (August 2020) and their first few months were one of assessment and evaluation of the state of the Guyanese economy, therefore it’s safe to say that whatever policies the coalition instituted, sparked huge economic growth.
This idea of economic that the economy was left bankrupt was floated by members of the PPP led government days after entering office but seems to quickly dissipate after a whopping $383 billion budget passed.
