Afro-Guyanese Public Relations Specialist Royden James Fired
The Public Relations Officer for the Guyana Lands and Survey Commission (GLSC), Royden James, was served with a termination letter on October 16, 2020, by the PPP administration.
According to the contents of the letter, his position had become redundant since the commission began conducting a reshuffle. As of his termination, James had been in the agency for over two years under the APNU/AFC administration.
In a statement by James posted on his Facebook page, he expressed his gratitude for being a part of a dynamic group and thanked his boss, Trevor Benn, for his exceptional leadership over the past two years.
James is now part of a growing list of afro-Guyanese who lost their jobs under this administration.
