Afro-Guyanese Volda Lawrence, Clairmont Mingo And Carol Smith Joseph Charged And Placed On Bail

The Chair of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNC/R) Volda Lawrence, along with her party’s agent Carol Smith Joseph, and District Four Returning Officer, Clairmont Mingo, charged with Forgery and Conspiracy.

According to Attorney at Law, Nigel Hughes, there is no basis for the charges and hope that the court can bring the charges to court and deal with efficiently. He is concern about his clients who have to travel miles to report to the court.

“There are some other intents with the administration of justice, and the charges are without foundation,” said Nigel Hughes.

The next court date is set for October 28, 2020.
