Ali Government Just Didn’t Read Their “One China” Agreement, China Forces An Apology

President Irfaan Ali and his foreign affairs ministry is rolling back signed agreements with Taiwan and dishing out apologies to China, this comes after Taiwan’s foreign ministry announced it had signed an agreement with Guyana to open a Taiwan office. The PPP/C led Guyanese government neglected already signed agreements with China and was forced to renege on new agreements with Taiwan.

“The government has not established any diplomatic ties or relations with Taiwan and as a result of the miscommunication of the agreement signed, this agreement has since been terminated,” Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Guyana’s foreign ministry stated that it remains committed to “One China” policy and such actions will no longer occur.
