Business Guru, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Martoum From Dubai, Visits Guyana
According to a press release dated November 19, 2020, the President of Guyana, Dr. Irfaan Ali met with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Martoum of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and his eight-member delegation, who is in Guyana on a three-day state visit. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hugh Todd and Minister of Tourism, Oniedge Walrond, welcomed Mr. Al Martoum at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport yesterday.
The ruling family member in UAE is expected to make courtesy calls to the various ministries over the next three days. According to the press release, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Martoum will use the opportunity to share his knowledge and experience in the oil and energy business.
“The UAE is one of the top oil-producing countries globally and is expected to lend assistance to Guyana in oil and gas, among other areas,” according to the press release.
His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Dalmook Al Martoum is known for his influential personality throughout various African countries like Ghana. In 2016 he led a group of partnerships with the government by enabling a power plant to solve the Ghana electricity crisis. The group has investment in many countries and is looking to establish a business relationship in Guyana to expand their business goals. They are known for their oil, energy, water desalination, power, infrastructure, gas and mining initiatives.
He is also known for his philanthropic and humanitarian values and his efforts for children’s education.
