Canadian High Commissioner Thanked ‘Personally’ For Her Role In The March 2nd Elections By Anil Nandlall
Yesterday the Canadian High Commissioner, Lillian Chatterjee visited the Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs Anil Nandlall amidst the rise of the Coronavirus in Guyana.
Lillian Chatterjee can be seen standing particularly close to the Minister for a photo op moment at the Attorney’s office. The High Commissioner discussed the Canadian commitment to Guyana’s development and reiterated its partnership towards democracy. Among the items discussed were the issues of accessible justice in Guyana and the Caribbean, along with judicial reforms for the many indigenous people throughout the region.
Attorney General Anil Nandlall furthermore updated the Commissioner on Guyana law reports, law revision, law reinforcement, and constitutional reforms. It’s been accepted that an officer will be attached to the Commissioner’s office to keep her abreast in relation to Guyana’s development.
