Government Offers GY$3M Reward After RSS Failed To Bring The Perpetrators of The Murder of Isaiah, Joel Henry And Haresh Singh To Justice
November 3, 2020 – The Guyana Police Force today issued a statement offering GY $ 3,000,000 for information leading to the arrest of persons connected with the murder of Isaiah, Joel Henry, and Haresh Singh.
“As such, the GPF hereby announces that a reward in the sum of G$3,000,000.00 (three million Guyana dollars) is being offered to any person or persons who can provide information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators of these gruesome murders,” the statement says.
After several failed attempts by the Regional Security System (RSS) and the Guyana Police Force (GPF), the government has now offered the reward to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The team visited Guyana to assist with the murders that spurred on widespread protests and condemnation from citizens locally and abroad. The RSS was subsequently able to visit the crime scene and interview family members to assist with their investigation.
As previously reported, the police force conducted a local investigation and found nothing-evidential leading to the teens’ death. In response, the lack of action for the murders later led to rioting and protesting in the Berbice area, pressuring Guyana’s government to seek international help in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
