Murder and Violent Crimes In Guyana At Its Highest In Two Months Since Year Start
Guyana has seen a spike in homicides and violent crimes since the beginning of 2021, coupled with the ongoing pandemic and rise in prices of goods, particularly vegetables experts predict that a downward spiral in the standard of living and citizens feeling a sense of safety.
Since the beginning of 2021, there have been as least two murders per week and multiple violent crime offenses, today police are investigating the death of a Tiger bay man by the name of Dale Christopher who was gunned down on Mandela Avenue on Tuesday night whilst partying.
Christopher’s death joins the growing number of violent crimes in the second month of this year.
