‘Paper Shorts’ Shot Dead In front of Palm Court As Murder Rate Increases Since PPP Took Office
Ricardo Fagundes, called ‘Paper Shorts’, a former employee of embattled gold dealer, Saddiqi ‘Bobby’ Rasul was shot to death outside Palm Court on Main Street.
Fagundes who is no stranger to the law was arrested in 2017 for a massive money-laundering scheme. In 2017, SOCU investigated the gold dealer’s relationship with his friends and associates, as well as an alleged conspiracy between his two gold mining companies, R Mining Inc and SSS Mining, and the Guyana Gold Board (GGB).
It is alleged that a heated argument ensued between Fagundes and a group of unknown individuals in the popular nightlife venue which led to him being shot execution-style.
