Pompeo Forces PPP/C Administration To Make US Businesses Priority
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned Guyana and Suriname about undertaking business with China. Pompeo asks that the two countries choose US firms over China during his two-day visit to South American small countries.
Pompeo is the first US Secretary of State to carry out such a visit with a profound interest in the country’s sudden economic growth due to oil discovery.
“No state-owned enterprise can surpass the quality of products and services provided by American private companies,”
President of Suriname, Chan Santokhi indicated that Pompeo said it’s an “exciting time” for its development, and the United States is “Committed to Cooperation.”
“No state-owned enterprise can surpass the quality of products and services provided by American private companies,” Mike Pompeo said at a joint news conference in a tent set up outside the President’s Dutch colonial residence.
“We have watched the Chinese Communist party invest in other countries. At first, it seems that everything is fine, but then everything collapses when the political consequences become obvious,” Pompeo said.
