The Queen Makes First Public Appearance Since Lockdown In March

After weeks of being on lockdown due to COVID-19, the queen exhibited her first instance of public engagement outside a royal residence on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

Her Majesty, 94, and Prince William, 38, visited the top-secret Defence Science and Technology Laboratory at Porton, Wilshire U.K.

The Queen and Prince William did not wear a mask, but those that were allowed to be in close contact with the royals were tested for the Coronavirus ahead of time, with all tests returning negative. According to reports, Buckingham Palace declined to comment on Prince William’s own test results, or whether or not he was even tested.

As of today, the queen has remained secluded from the public at Windsor Castle when the United Kingdom went into lockdown on March 23, 2020.

No cameras were allowed.
