Two Guyanese Involved In Bloody Altercation in Barbados

Two people were injured in a bloody altercation at Sobers Lane in St Michael.

One is stable and the other in critical condition following the incident, according to police reports.

Police are conducting investigations into a report of a dispute which occurred about 8.35 am on Wednesday (July 8) at a residence located at Sobers Lane. It was reported that a woman and a man were involved in an altercation and both received injuries.

The Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss told the media that on arrival at the scene, police officers discovered the female outside of the residence with what appeared to be an injury to the right side of her head. They then entered the residence and discovered the male with what appeared to be an injury to his throat. Both individuals were transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance for medical attention.

The female Guyanese national was identified as 45-year-old Rajdai Persaud. She resides at Sobers Lane. She is reported to be in stable condition while the male, identified only as Chabinanth, is a 53-year-old Guyanese national who resides at Reed Street in St Michael. Chabinanth is reported to be in critical condition.
