Massive Cover Up, Did PPP/C Government Lie About Venezuelan Gangs Firing Shots At Guyanese Soldiers on The Border?

On September 24, 2020, The Guyana Police Force (GPF) released a statement disclosing that the Venezuelan Syndicato Gang opened fire on Guyanese troops and police force joint patrol at the Guyana/Venezuela border in the Cuyuni River. In that same statement penned by the Public Affairs Officer, Heppilena Ferguson stated that “none of the ranks received injuries and they returned fire”.

Our team dug a bit further and finally was able to speak with one of the personnel who allegedly was on the scene and he stated quite candidly “that was no gang”. We asked him if he spoke to officials on what he saw and he responded with a chuckle and then furthered laughed.

According to Reuters on February 22, 2019, Venezuelan troops did the exact tactic against Brazilian and U.S joint troops when they patrolled the border and attempted to bring aid to nearby villages leaving two (2) dead and fourteen (14) injured. These strong signs of force were seen as a scare tactic to Brazil for joining with the United States in acknowledging Juan Guaido as Venezuela’s legitimate president.

Now for the big question, why did the PPP/C government allegedly lie about the shooting coming from gangs?, the answer is simple, it is very common for this government to force false narratives especially where transparency comes into play.

Our team of researching are currently gathering more information from the Venezuelan side to give you the holistic story.
